About Me
Hi, I'm Dave, the face behind Handy Dandy's Repairs.
I've been repairing electronics for around five years, and for more than a year now, I've started sharing that passion on YouTube, documenting real repairs, diagnostics, and the occasional challenge that keeps me thinking.
I specialise in PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X repairs, with plenty of experience repairing ROG Allys, Legion Gos, Laptops, GPUs and many other devices as well. Most of my work involves component-level diagnostics and micro-soldering, from HDMI port replacements and power faults through to more complex motherboard repairs that many repair shops simply won't attempt such as BGA work or trace repair.
What I enjoy most isn't just fixing devices—it's solving the puzzle. Every repair is different, and there's nothing more satisfying than bringing a console or device back to life after tracking down the real cause of the fault.
One thing that's important to me is keeping repairs fair and honest. I do this because I genuinely enjoy it, so my goal isn't to squeeze every dollar out of every repair. I believe in charging a fair price, giving honest advice, and helping people repair their devices instead of replacing them wherever it's practical. It's better for your wallet, and it's one less device ending up as unnecessary waste.
Every repair is carried out using professional equipment, and I stand behind my work with a 6-month warranty on all repairs (excluding obvious physical damage caused after the repair).
If you're not local, I also offer Australia-wide mail-in repairs where it's practical and economical for both of us and may even be able to offer further discounts to help with the cost of shipping.
Alongside my repair business, I'm building my YouTube channel to show exactly how I diagnose and repair electronics. Rather than just telling you what I can do, I prefer to show you. You'll find real repairs, genuine troubleshooting, and an honest look at what goes into fixing modern electronics.
Whether you're looking for a repair, interested in learning more about electronics, or just enjoy watching things get brought back to life, I'd love to have you along for the journey.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to see you in one of my videos soon!
